Going blue for Autism Awareness Month mani #12

Today is April 30th, and while it is the last day of Autism Awareness Month, we should all remember to support the multiple causes out there that fight each day to find solutions to help those with Autism lead healthy lives.

This will be my last blue mani for Autism Awareness Month and I am so excited to end with this amazing polish.

Today's mani was created using OPI Taylor Blue with an accent of Lynnderella Angel Whisper.

Taylor Paige Storch's life was cut tragically short at the age of 13 after a skiing accident. Yet through that tragedy she was able to give life to others through the gift of organ donation.

Taylor’s organs went to a number of different people in need: her heart to a 39-year-old mother of two in Arizona; her pancreas and one kidney to a 49-year-old husband and father in Colorado; her other kidney to a 33-year-old man in Colorado; her corneas and liver changed two other lives in other parts of the country.

Taylor’s Gift Foundation was created to honor Taylor’s many talents and gifts, and especially her ultimate gift: life for others.

Taylor's Gift and OPI teamed up to create this polish in her honor and to bring more awareness to organ donation.

I am excited to say that this is my very first OPI polish. I have plenty of nOPI but I am so glad that my first is honoring a cause that means so much to me.

We decided after our daughter Caris passed in 2011, to donate her organs in the hopes of saving another family from losing their child.

I wear this color proudly and feel a special bond with it, and Taylor's parents. I strongly suggest your visit their website at www.TaylorsGift.org to read more of her story.
